Cafeneaua Itbox _ English _ places...

Posted by: pisoaia May 23 2003, 07:52 PM

New experiences, new places, new feelings. I can say that i am a big fan of trips, i want to see as many places as possible, for example i`ve always wanted to see Niagara Falls, or the North pole laugh.gif
So...tell us about the places you want to visit... or share your experiences from known places to see them all at least with our imagination

May the Force be with u

have you ever been to Germany?
if you have then you may have seen Ludowig II castles, such as Lindau or Neuschwanstein. They're great...through here people like Richard Wagner and Friedrich Schiller passed, why don't you follow them.
Alles gute!

I can't really say that i've visited Germany because i have only been there for a few hours travelling, but that doesn't mean that i don't want to visit it, to see the great landscapes, to walk on the paths of Richard Wagner or Friedrich Schiller(for example), to drink an old traditional german beer mug...
In conclusion, Germany is a great place, it's worth visiting so...
See u soon (hopefully in Germany)

I'm from US, born in Moldova. Don't speak much Moldavian though (or Romanian as many now say), but understand and can speak a little. If any of you will ever visit San Francisco or Bay Area and will need a tour, I'm at your service -

Hi Val i am in NY. Is nice to know that there is somebody else here form the good ol' USA so maybe you can help me out when this people are piking on us laugh.gif

Hi tuffgirl.
Who are those people, and on who are they picking on? laugh.gif
Though I guess I know what u r talking about, once before I've been on one of the Romanian chat, people where mean, don't ask me why.
Are you originally from Moldova/Romania?

Posted by: tuffgirl Apr 20 2005, 07:31 PM

Hi , no i am from Transilvania, and some of this people are having a problem with the US, it looks like the americans are forcing them to do stuff they don't want to do. Anyway welcome on the forum. So far it has been quiet on the americans so we will have to wait until the next round laugh.gif

How about starting to fight right now ? laugh.gif
Relax, (almost) nobody has anything AGAINST Americans ! What bothers me most is that it seems we have "imported" to Romania only the bad things: drugs. violence, fast food (OK, this one is not THAT bad ! laugh.gif ) but we forgot to import the good stuff: competence, diligence, hard working spirit, pragmatism. From this point of view, I am more anti-Romanian than anti-American. I actually am very fond of America (OK, minus Clinton and Kerry, but they are not Americans, anyway ! laugh.gif ) but I prefer the rather un-civilized (whatever ! I think a better term would have been "untamed" or "honest" read "straight-forward") South, to the Yankees (you being one of them). Anyway, howdy y'all ! laugh.gif

Airman i am not going to fight with you. laugh.gif I said that because some people here on the forum seem to be under the faux impression that americans are forcing them to adopt their culture. By the way fast food, on my list, is as bad as all the other things you have mentioned, it is also the reason for all the overweight people in the states, that, and junk food. tongue.gif

I said that because some people here on the forum seem to be under the faux impression that americans are forcing them to adopt their culture.

Who said that ? Osama bin Laden ? Saddam Hussein ? The Iranian Ayatollahs ? laugh.gif

I was thinking about Romania, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand.... unfortunately the last two places are way too far laugh.gif

Posted by: Airman04061969 Mar 15 2006, 07:29 AM

Depending on where you live in USA (I know you're in New York, toughgirl) New Zealand or Australia could be as far from you as Europe is. I was thinking about Australia next year (possibly get a transfer there).

Posted by: tuffgirl Mar 15 2006, 07:34 AM

 Australia is about 24 hours by plane and it stops once. If i take the boat i might get there next year laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
I know Thailand is a 17 hours flight non stop  and Romania is a 9 hour flight. :noroc:

Posted by: Airman04061969 Mar 15 2006, 07:35 AM

Posted by: tuffgirl Mar 15 2006, 07:46 AM

Not really, LA is only 5 hours away from NY.
