if i wanna insert english slang in my daily romanian bla bla, no one can stop me, right?Besides,it's more fun, and really, it would take a loooooong time to make ppl forget this habit once it's well settled.
However, i think we should consider TALIKN' AND WRITING A VERY CLEAN AND CORRECT ROMANIAN before we fully exploit this new english slang trend.

May I ask with whom do you argue ? I don't think anyone forbid you to speak Romanian on other topics. It's just that, on this particular one, we would like to read (and write) in English. What is your problem ? Sorry, but I do not see the reason for you stating so vigourously that "it's your right". Of course, it is !

i don't argue.it's called "solidarity" cuz as i see this particular forum encourages ppl to talk english, but i'm actually talking 'bout the many controversies which appear either in cultural streams, or in daily speech style, regarding this theme:english.my wish was to debate it considering all these facts, but, with my apologies, it seems i wasn't exactly clear.so pardon me, and be free to speak your mind with or against me, but don't cut me off like that.ty

needless to say...
"cuz" = because !!
"ppl" = people !!
"encourages people to WRITE English", not to "talk", anyway it would have been "speak" in the context you were trying to use
" 'bout" = about !! (is it that difficult to type ... the right way?)
"controversies" = controverses !!

I'm already getting bored, please correct the other mistakes for yourself

What is going on here? :roll:
Wolfmet it looks to me that you are making a statement in witch you are contradicting yourself! Were you high at the time you came up with this? If so, you are excused, if not, i am sorry you are going thru this drama in your life where you can't make up your own mind about things. I would also like to point out that to be cut off means, in this instance, that somebody interrupted you from your monolog, so how can it be "cut off" if you do not continue your point, not to mention that you can write without being interrupted when you post a message? As you well said, people would do well to learn to speak or write properly in romanian, it is also my duty to point out the fact that your english needs some help, so i am not sure how well you speak romanian but i see that you can stand some improvement on the subject at hand or better said the english language.
Now, my boy, what was it that you wanted to debate again? Please revise the subject and get back to us.
P.S. Case in point, nobody cut me off! (IMG:/laugh.gif)

Okay now i am going to take it easy on you guys and go back to being my cute, nice self :oops: .
Hi, howyoudoing? Wolfmet i did have somebody say to me the same thing about using english in my posts, and i do understand that once you get used to a language it's very hard to break the habit. I have to speak english every day, all day, and when i get on the forum it is a little hard to just write in romanian. But as you can see i have taken care of that and put them in their place so like you said i have the right to write any way i please, as long as is not offensive or insulting to the members of the forum. Please feel free to bring whatever questions or comments you may have and it would be my pleasure to discuss whatever is bothering you. (IMG:/biggrin.gif)

You too, cutie pie Fulger :wink:

Airman off course we have already met and know each other well enough to know where we stand on the subject not to mention our background, so please help me try and educate some of our young charges (IMG:/laugh.gif)

Maybe he's from Queens or Bronx, did you think about that ? Toughgirl, I know I am picking again on (quasi) New Yorkers, sorry about that, but I just can't help myself when it comes to US English (this thing exists or it's yet another invention by Microsoft ?) (IMG:/laugh.gif)
By the way, wolfmet, you SPEAK IN English and you TALK TO SOMEBODY IN English ! Watch it, will you ? And I'm afraid fullger is right about writing rather than speaking.

I think he was in one of his highs because he wanted "solidarity" on a subject he was confused about.

well, actually u don't speak IN english you SPEAK ENGLISH (full stop), so YOU watch it when you decide to get proud and go hard on others, ok?I don't know how old you are, where you live and what you've been studying so far(how much english or whatever), but i get your point and , really, it's useless, unlike hers(toughgirl, whom i understand, or at least try to...).and don't u pick on my slang cuz that's exactly what bothers me.I don't give a damn about many things around me, and i could easily not give a damn about your lame reasons(some) to cut me off.it's just that i did not post thinkin' :"Yeeah...now this is the best way to start a fight!!!", so it seems you've fully misunderstood.Yes, I am new to this forum and i certainly haven't had a nice welcome. i think I should propose for a "Discrimination" section, so u would feel like home.huh? what do u say?oh, and another question?Do u plan on continuing this fight?(just so i know not to post anymore, on MY OWN topic)? thank you.

well, thanks for pointing out those things, but i'll still use '"cut off" as it is, cuz it seems i have leart different things than you. as for my romanian, don't get sleepless nights about it:), it is fine , very fine,and if it weren't, i wouldn't have dared to reach that aspect in my first post :!: .i do appreciate you living in NY (cuz it seems to me that's what you need),but that doesen't mean i'll take everything you say for granted, because it would make me just another *let's not give an antribute* person who venerates the US for the image and cheap ideas they sell.
all in all,nobody is perfect and i guess we should all be proud of that:).

"well, actually u don't speak IN english you SPEAK ENGLISH (full stop),"
I was merely trying to get your attention when using "talk" in conjunction with "English", but you're absolutely right: ones speaks English and doesn't speak IN English. I have studied English in school and I am continously using it in my everyday life. FYI, I have studied at Oxford University but I do not think we should raise this subject.
It seems to me you are a bit of a rebel without a cause, I mean you HONESTLY believe that anyone has anything against you ? (alright, minus fullger, but he is an (..... censored ! Let's not start calling names, shall we Airman ? (IMG:/laugh.gif) ....) anyway). Should you care to open a new topic on "Discrimination", by all means, be my guest.

Okay, i sleep well at night thank you for your concern, as rude or mean it would be , i have to say that you are not that important to me as to cause sleepless nights.
It is one thing to speak in slang , or write, and is another not to know how to spell. Yes, Americans are selling cheap ideas but there seem to be enough buyers. You don't have to take anything i say for granted, i am not that important in your life either. I have lived in NY for 11 years and the fact that you have said "that is what you need" makes very little sense to me so please make me understand what is it you meant by it.
Nobody is fighting with you, we are just trying to understand what is it you wanted to debate. (IMG:/biggrin.gif) So, try again and this time be a little more clear. (you can use slang too (IMG:/laugh.gif) )

Hi Zozolina, we are not fighting about how americans spell, we are just trying to understand what this person wants to debate. It has been established, in other topics and conversations, the lack of spelling skills the americans have. (IMG:/biggrin.gif)
